Good evening Barbarian FC.
Each member of the Club is assigned a jersey number and for most of you who are new, this number will stay the same for as long as you remain here.
It may be difficult to accept that from season to season we do not have set teams. We remain committed to the development and growth of every member through training, (not practice) and when available, League Play, Tournaments, or a variety of other competitions for which players are and will be selected.
We do not hold tryouts or cut players from the Club, however, all players are selected as representatives of the Barbarian FC and some may not be asked to return. We have to remind several of you, at this time, that Coaching from the stands in any way is not appreciated or condoned.
The same holds true for the little pep talks before, during, or even after matches; they are not really appropriate or conducive to what we are attemptingtoaccomplish and In many ways it detracts from the ‘team’ dynamic that the Coaching staff is working to achieve in our approach to the game and sport. These distinctions are who we are and what keeps most from ever knowing.
The Barbarian FC registered the following birth years into League Play. 2015B, 2014B, 2014G, 2013G, 2012B, 2012G, and 2010B. The fee for League Play selection is $60.00 per player.
Players not named to a roster are considered reserves and may be offered the opportunity to play, when spots are available on any given day with any age group in which they fit, at no cost.
Selection to one roster does not automatically preclude being named to another roster or guarantee you will be selected, while the same holds true for players who are not selected. We are an organization not given to complacency in any form and have no real appreciation for mediocrity.
There is no training scheduled for Thursday due to the Thanksgiving holiday and school closure. We will still train Tuesday and Wednesday this week, November 25 and 26.
We now have the Training Survey Portal open which each of you must complete before the 28th of November. A word to the wise, be certain to submit only once and include all days of the week for your availability . Those who only put one day a week may end up without receiving an ITP and be delayed in scheduling.
