Accomplishments

Since the year 2000, the Barbarians have consistently sent multiple age-group representatives to the USFF North-East Regional Championships. Because of our commitment to the development of futsal players the club is well known on a Regional and National level. During this time, 50% of The Barbarian FC teams that have traveled to the regional have either won or placed in the top three. Over the past 8 seasons our teams have routinely represented Western PA in every United States Futsal Federation North-East Regional Championship Futsal Tournament either as State Cup Champions or Runners-up. The Barbarians have consistently exceeded the number of teams entered by any other club from the North-East Region with the exception of Southern Maryland Futsal Club (SMFC).

2006 U14B TeamIn 2006, the Barbarians traveled to Maryland with 4 teams; in 2007 to Downingtown, PA with 5 teams; in 2008 to Boston, MA with 6 teams; in 2009 to New York City with 7 teams; in 2010 to York, PA with 9 teams; in 2011 to Wildwood, NJ with 5 teams; and 2012 to Wildwood, NJ with 6 teams. During that time frame the Barbarians produced 4 Gold Medal Regional Champions (U14B, 2005-2006 Maryland; U16B, 2009-2010 York PA; U15G, 2010-2011 and U16G, 2011-2012 Wildwood NJ) and 7 Silver Medal Regional Runners-up as well as several Bronze medalists for third place finishes. Our U16B team finished the 2014 USFF National tournament as Silver Medalist in as hard fought a final as we have witnessed over our years of involvement in futsal. Jacob Gratzer, Michah Griffin, RJ Heaps, [2014 U16B & U16G Teams] Austin Iddon, Josh Kucmeroski, Matt Prezioso, Tim Pugh, Matt Rytel, Quinn Stezoski, and Chad Wright represented the Barbarian FC with distinction. The U16G were U17 National Futsal Champions and successfully defended their title in an International Friendly against a select side from Australia less than two hours after taking the USFF Futsal Title!
